Re:Why Muslims to slaughter animals for the public?

My friend OpaA,

My freind OpaA,

Dog meat is supposed to be a delicacy in the Philippines. It is served to a very important guest. It is also the most expensive in the restaurants. During the world cup competition in Japan and Korea, dog meat was banned because a lot of the football fans would be so outraged. I never ate it though. I only got very upset with one of my closest friends, who had a dog that I had got used to. One day I came to his house and he said the dog had died. I was incredulous. I had seen the dog only a few days ago and he was in fine health. Later I learnt the family had a party and that explained the fate of the dog. Strange but true.

Heheee! SamO, so you were getting Guinea fowl by being “blind”?

Thats nice.

Oba

Some times a bad policy or law may be a blessing in disguise. It happened to me when I was a bird fetcher for a Muslim bird hunter. He would shoot a Guinea fowl and tell us to run and retrieve it before it dies so that he could say a prayer and twist the birds neck before it dies. Well, we would be “blind” and unable to see the bird still flapping its wings, but as soon as we notice no life left in the good bird we would pick it up and hand it to the man. Being a “good” Muslim he would have nothing to do with “Patiss”. Guess who gets to enjoy the bird. Sometimes let people set their own trap to hang themselves. And where i work now, my boss likes to buy dinner and bring it to the work place for the workers. Nearly one quater of the workers are muslims. He woulld bring well cooked pork chops and all of us would eat it. A friend once tried to warn the Muslims about the pork, but none of them wanted to hear any thing about it.

I take issue with your statement that Halal forbids Muslims from eating meat from animals that have been strangled beaten to death killed by fall gored to death………………, an for a simple reason. Camels are one of the strongest animals on earth and they were created in that manner to be able to handle the very hard life in Middle East. But they are eaten too, so the fact that they are very strong, you cannot tie a Camel and drop him down as we do to a cow or a goat to slaughter him/her . He/she will simply not go down. Camels are killed by beating the crap out of them and breaking their structure.

Why do Moslems eat them?

Why slaughter according to the Muslim method ?

This will help understand…

It [Halal] also forbid Muslims from eating meat from animals that have been strangled, beaten to death, killed by a fall, gored to death and those that have been savaged by a beast of prey.

The pagans, including the revisionist Christians, think its to do with ‘blood’ as they are to some extent obsessed with blood themselves. Their prayer houses still have ‘altars’ which were originally used for killing, sacrifice to their god, which meant their altars were covered in blood. The congregations on seeing the altar are immediately reminded, sub-consciously, of killing, blood and death.

But in fact it’s to do with ‘adrenaline’, a substance which is used medicinally in some health problems, but is also used illegally by sports people, to improve their strength, banned in all professional sports and can lead to fines or disqualification.

If an animal is frightened its body produces adrenaline, as do human bodies, the hormone of ‘flight or fight’. It pumps into the blood stream and into the flesh, when meat is cooked with it in, it takes longer to cook and is tough. All Halal meat cooks faster and , unless badly cooked, is tender and easier to digest.

Now socially there is also a problem, people eat meat laced throughout with adrenalin, because the meat is not Halal, then they go to clubs and pubs, drink alcohol, with then acts to make it ”explosive”.

The week end in countries like Britain and the USA, and parts of Europe, have lots of fighting and people visiting the emergency rooms at hospitals. In the next few days some of them are asked why did they start fighting, they say they don’t really know, but something sparked them off.

What is was that caused it, was the adrenalin in what they had eaten, not naturally formed adrenalin of their own bodies. It’s something that has been used in warfare for thousands of years.

Adrenalin causes the feeling of paranoia, that something or somone is ”having a go at them’, so they ‘react’. One finds in most cases with Muslims, that they are more thoughtfull and slower to be ‘reactionaries’ in such situations. Which is one of the reasons that Muslims are know worldwide as ‘peaceful people’, peacefulness is institutionalised in how they kill animals..

Its something that any group or nation can apply, to bring more peace to their societies, as is happening now in Europe amongst none Muslims..

From time immemorial, Muslims have been in charge of slaughtering animals meant for public consumption. However, a certain group of Christians in Kabale last month declared they would take over the job. This has angered Muslim leaders who have perceived this as a direct attack on the Muslim faith.

Its not as such an attack on any faith, its an attack on the peacfulness of society, as revisionsit christians do not apply either Jewish or Muslim methods, but use fast methods of killing in slaughter houses, which fills the flesh of the animals with adrenalin.

Kiirya says the matter was resolved on grounds that since everybody would eat meat slaughtered by Muslims, there was no harm for the Muslims to officially be given the responsibility

Which is correct.

with a suggestion that since Muslims had been authorised to slaughter animals for public consumption, they should also slaughter pigs for the Christians. Kiirya also adds that Islam has laws regarding which foods can and cannot be eaten and also on the proper method of slaughtering an animal for consumption. But if there is no other food available, a Muslim is allowed to eat non-halal food according to the Koran. (Surah 2:173).

It is correct that Muslims do not oppose eating of pig meat if needed, but it is considered to be ‘low value’ meat otherwise, as it contain fat all the way through, which cannot really be removed. There is little in cuts of pig meat that do not have amounts of fat, which is different from beef, where most can be trimmed off, or sheep where much will melt in cooking and drain off.

In Britain since the 1980’s, its been know that fat is the main cause of stomach cancer, so the old laws on food have been fully verified as being correct.

The Jews are the only ones who ‘absolutely’ oppose eating of pig meat, even though old manuscripts have revealed that at certain times of the year, the jews-judeans used to eat pig meat, at festivals. Which would be correct, as swine fever only happens at certain times of the year, so can be avoided otherwise. And with freezing pig meat immediately the risk of tape worms is now diminished, they could kill, and did regularly amongst pig eaters. Tape worms exist in the intestines, but when they lay eggs, the eggs will travel through the host to the flesh and can be eaten as cooking doesn’t kill them, some have been taken out of people well over three feet long.

In some European states, most foods are now labelled halal, in order to restore hope among Muslims.

Packaging wih Halal written on it has become common in Britain, most people take it simply to be a standard of good quality food, it’s become very popular because of it.

Folks, This is very interesting debate!   Why Muslims to slaughter animals for the public?

Muslims say a special prayer before slaughtering the animals

From time immemorial, Muslims have been in charge of slaughtering animals meant for public consumption. However, a certain group of Christians in Kabale last month declared they would take over the job. This has angered Muslim leaders who have perceived this as a direct attack on the Muslim faith. Madinah Tebajjukira writes…

Though there is no national edict backing Muslims monopolising the slaughtering of animals, clerics says the debate on who should do it started immediately after Uganda got its independence in 1962.

In 1963, Sheik Hassan Kiirya the spokesperson of the Kibuli break-away sect says the debate intensified during the reign of Ssekabaka Mutesa II as the first president. In one meeting, when the late Ali Kulumba was the deputy speaker of the Lukiiko, Kiirya says the matter was resolved on grounds that since everybody would eat meat slaughtered by Muslims, there was no harm for the Muslims to officially be given the responsibility.

However, the late Benedicto Kiwanuka opposed it with a suggestion that since Muslims had been authorised to slaughter animals for public consumption, they should also slaughter pigs for the Christians.

“This angered every body in the Lukiiko, and it was rejected,” Kiirya explained. Besides the official permission from the then government, the Koran, a holy book which the Muslim faith believes in, forbids Muslims world over from eating meat which is not halala, (meat which has not been slaughtered in accordance to the Islamic teachings.)

Kiirya also adds that Islam has laws regarding which foods can and cannot be eaten and also on the proper method of slaughtering an animal for consumption. But if there is no other food available, a Muslim is allowed to eat non-halal food according to the Koran. (Surah 2:173).

The Koran Kiirya adds forbids Muslims from eating meat which is not slaughtered in the name of Allah, when one has not mentioned his name during the slaughtering process, animals offered for sacrifice to an idolatrous. It also forbid Muslims from eating meat from animals that have been strangled, beaten to death, killed by a fall, gored to death and those that have been savaged by a beast of prey.

World wide, it is estimated that 70% of Muslims follow halal food standards and that the global halal market is currently big, at $580b industry.

Imam Kasozi, a renowned Islamic Sheik, says that once the Christians try it out, no body including non-Muslims will buy their meat, and that it will cause scuffle.

Citing the Jinja incidents when some Christians tried to slaughter animals for public consumption three years back, Kasozi said Muslims will not sit back and watch an attack on Islam.

Another city prominent lawyer who prefers anonymity for fear of being misunderstood by the Muslim faith, said for Muslims to slaughter animals for public consumption is not a law in the Ugandan constitution, but a practice that has been followed over the years.

This is not done only in Uganda, but it is the practice every where in the world. In some European states, most foods are now labelled halal, in order to restore hope among Muslims.

The Ugandan Christians in Kabale are not the only ones opposed to the practice. Many other groups in different parts of the world are against it too.

Obama ups ties with Muslims

WASHINGTON – US PRESIDENT Barack Obama’s charm offensive on Muslim states comes to a weekend forum in Qatar, where he will send a video message and his chief diplomat will give a speech, organizers said on Thursday.

Mr Obama will deliver his message to the seventh annual US-Islamic World Forum in the Qatari capital, which Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will attend Sunday with other senior US officials, The Brookings Institution said.

The gathering organised by the think-tank’s Saban Center for Middle East Policy and Qatar’s foreign affairs ministry brings ‘leaders from across the Muslim world for an intensive three-day dialogue with key US officials, societal leaders and policy experts,’ Brookings said.

‘With President Obama determined to turn the page in America’s relations with Muslim communities around the globe, this year’s Forum will examine how to craft more robust partnerships that can help repair the deep divisions our societies,’ Brookings President Strobe Talbott said in a statement.

Mr Talbott, who was a key diplomat in president Bill Clinton’s administration, is also due at the forum, along with Richard Holbrooke, the US envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan and Senate Foreign Relations Committee John Kerry.

Mr Brookings said Mrs Clinton will join Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem al-Thani, the prime minister of Qatar who doubles as foreign minister, in delivering a speech, but no further details were immediately available. — AFP

MUSLIMS IN UK: BEYOND THE HYPE

Muslims in the UK: beyond the hype

Our new centre for the study of Muslims in Europe will look past the fear-mongering headlines, to real lives

Today, we are proud to launch the European Muslim Research Centre (EMRC) at the University of Exeter. We hope that the EMRC will be part of a wider process of voices and perspectives which are too often being ignored, or buried under a tide of negative portrayals of Muslim communities and Islam by vociferous sections of the media and populist politicians.

What good is an academic centre on these kinds of issues? The EMRC has taken a first step towards highlighting problems which Muslims are facing on a daily basis. We’ve looked at cases like that of Yasir Abdelmouttalib. Six years ago Yasir, a young Moroccan, was nearly killed while waiting to take a bus from Willesden to Regent’s Park in London. Dressed in traditional Islamic white robes to go to his Friday prayers, this young PhD student was minding his own business, when he was set upon by a gang. After a “barrage of spitting”, the gang attacked him and one gang member beat his head with a street broom so badly that his brain was dislodged and his skull had multiple fractures. Yasir was left in a coma for three months.

What had Yasir done to deserve these injuries? He had no political cause. He wasn’t protesting, he wasn’t trying to make any point in wider society. He was a young man, waiting for a bus so he could pray. So what made it OK to beat a man’s brains out for no good reason?

Earlier this month Terence Gavan, a former BNP member, was convicted of manufacturing a huge array of firearms and explosives, ranging from nail-bombs and machine guns to a rocket launcher. Gavan claimed that he had a “fascination with things that go bang”, but others highlight that he felt he had to defend his fellow countrymen fighting Muslims in foreign lands. Gavan wasn’t on the counter-terrorist radar – the spotlight of attention wasn’t focused on him, but on Muslims as a threat to Britain, rather than British threats to Muslims.

Two cases ranging over six years – but more than isolated incidents in modern Britain. Just ask Mohammed Kohelee, the heroic caretaker who suffered burns to his body while trying to prevent an arson attack against Greenwich Mosque last June. Or look at the murder last September of Tooting pensioner Ekram Haque. Haque was brutally beaten to death in front of his three year old granddaughter by a “race-hate” gang. Or ask the police officers injured this past weekend during an English Defence League (EDL) march in Stoke. In 2010, British Muslims face physical peril for simply being Muslim.

Our Centre’s first report, “Islamophobia and Anti-Muslim Hate Crime: a London case study” is out today. Too much academic and “thinktank” research is based on poor methodological engagement, and repackaging hearsay and assumption in the guise of intellectual contribution. We hope that the EMRC, in partnership with communities and other academics will provide an alternative to this kind of work.

As part of this, our centre will engage not only with Muslim communities, but also policy-makers and organisations such as the police. As those police officers remind us in today’s report, this kind of violence isn’t happening in a vacuum – and is more than the actions of a few mindless thugs. Politicians, ranging from the fringes of UKIP and the BNP, to serious mainstream politicians in the Labour and Conservative parties, not only feel that there is no social or political penalty for attacking Islam, but that not attacking Muslims enough risks being politically outflanked. Politicians are making regular political assessments that it’s a vote-winner to call for the proscription of Hizb-ut-Tahrir rather than the EDL – despite the fact the EDL has organised a string of marches which have led to police officers being injured and civil unrest.

This behaviour is egged on by populist commentators in the tabloids and beyond, who sensationalise stories to gain print space and air time. They constantly highlight the activities of an incredibly small part of the Muslim community, without ever once considering how the toxic atmosphere they are creating endangers Muslims who lead average non-violent lives. Britons everywhere are fed a diet of the threat of Islam, of concerns about “Islamic extremism”, “Islamic radicalisation”, and a lack of cultural integration.

These reductionist and populist portrayals of Muslims in Britain don’t do our society any credit. Politicians need to be braver – and reject cheap votes for real political engagement. Shouldn’t politicians actually credit the British public with being a resilient people – intelligent and fair, willing to discuss serious issues in adult ways? The incredibly base nature of the depiction of Muslims by popular Islamophobic commentators betrays more about their personal fears and ingrained prejudices than their desire to make Britain a better place. Who contributes more to British society, the tabloid fear-monger, or the Muslim community anti-war activist?

In the end Terence Gavan was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Yasir Abdelmouttalib miraculously survived – though his recovery continues slowly. The failed arsonists at Greenwich Mosque still roam free, and Tooting suffered a spate of anti-Muslim violence. When violence against Muslims stems from thinking childishly, about personal political gain and populist exploitation of fear rather than the betterment of all sections of society, shouldn’t we put such childish thoughts aside and make room for real adult political engagement and debate?
