Aisha Nankya, you should not be worried over SUUBI. It is a real Kabaka Yekka and it had its time and it expired. You know as well as l do that Joseph Mulwanyammuli and Daniel Muliika could not meet. Each was accusing another over his fall. After Muliika had been removed from Katikkiro, both forces; Muliika’s and Mulwanyammuli’s fought to ensure that they reinstated at Bulange-Mmengo. But the Kabaka was wise enough to bring in J.B. Walusimbi. However donor money has forced the two to meet and map up strategy. While Mulwanyammuli seems to be depending on the donor money until Museveni invites him for the meeting and pay him something or government pays Kabaka, arrears over rent like Butukkiro, Mulwanyammuli is deepending on bloody money from Olara Otunnu and other plitical exiles like Dr.Obonyo. So the two know that Besigye will not win and most Suubi candidates in Buganda, will loose. But at the end of the day, their pockets would be quite different from what they were before. As for Medard Lubega Sseggona, a son of a Murundi migrant, Nsamba (this is supposed to be a tittle of Ngabi clan leader), Nambooze Beti Bakireke, (she adresses parliament, but has no R in her vocablaries. Honoulable instead Honourable, but will improve) , Semuju Ibrahim Ng’anda and others, other than Nambooze, l don’t see any body retaining the parliamentary seat. Even if NRM harmonises itself in Mukono, Nambooze can also easly loose. So SUUBI is a good strategy to get Euros, Pounds and Dollars, but not votes. It will cause no body sleeping nights.
Brother Ahmed, Why is it FDC and NRM mainly concerned about the President General past committment to DP? Since when did NRM/FDC wish DP well? Gwe wujja kasepiki ka taata Muhoozi, Wafula awujje ka taata Anselm, DP ne UB40 tuwujje ka Senator Mao. Aisha

Mayiko Makula,
Your pain is palpable, but the solution you are silently floating is for us to wait for bliss when Mayiko Makula is Commander in Chief.
I would have agreed with your advice for us to concentrate on other professions like medicine, if the advice was not solely based on the notion that space has been denied you in the armed forces.
I want to assure you that the founders of NRA/UPDF will eventually die out. Today we have many young senior officers with names like yours and mine, who have no knowledge of Luweero Triangle except as a fable.
If you give God a little more time, he will recall all those you are fed up with and you will then probably have the best army… But if you are in a great hurry to see them go, the solution is more complicated…

What is electronic about the EC system? Wednesday, 30th June, 2010 [image: E-mail article] E-mail article [image: Print article] Print article
EDITOR—My heart leaped with joy when I heard of the Electoral Commission (EC) going electronic and the added advantage of getting electronic national identity cards. What a joy to have to retrieve one’s biological data without having to go physically to the villages, I thought!
I was, however, disappointed when I went to one registration centre to update my information but was referred to my previous polling station to retrieve my data. I thought it was one centralised database that would be updated.
I still don’t know whether it was the ignorance of the registrar or if the existing system actually does not have such provisions. If it is the latter, what is electronic about the system then, if I have to go and look through a hard copy file to pick out my name from a cluster of old rotting paper?
How about a system with a central database with a provision to search by name, serial number, date of birth, etc? Imagine a world where you would not have to leave your demanding job to go to your polling station to look for your name in the register, but could simply log on to www.something.co.ug, type in your ID number and find out whether the name is included.
It would however need the necessary controls against fraud and unauthorised data manipulation! By the way, what is the website of the Electoral Commission? *Stephen Luyonjo Kampala*
