Nyabo Rehema, Ssebagala is your mayor for Kampala, but can you tell us here on the forum how many nights he has spent in Gulu.

Do you know in Gulu Mao got more votes than Besigye. Why do you think the people who would not vote for Ochora but voted Mao did vote Besigye but M7? Has there ever been a more fierce MUK Guild President race, like that which Mao won, do you want to say at that time the composition of the university was more Northerners, hence his victory

If Mao stood even with that Ssebagala your mayor of Kampala, he would beat him comfortably

I do not think the composition of the DP delegates who elected him were more from the north, because for some one to get more that 70%, that is a convincing victory. I know some of you people think you are more baganda but I do not think you doubt whether the kabaka is a muganda, and for your own information, he endorsed him. He had even promised to visit Acholi. Now I do not know where you people get the beef. The point I’m trying to make here. It does not matter at all whether who or who takes which part of the country, what we know Mao is electable in more parts of Uganda, in my view more than Besigye, the only question, what are the margins. I know even in this forum, leaving aside those with tribal sentiment, if Besigye stood against Mao, the majority would vote Mao. The thing I love about the coming of Mao on the picture, it raises the game of FDC, they have constantly had one message to get rid of Museveni, which I agree, but now if three people are in the race, what is going to be the message. If it is to remove museveni, then Mao is equally aiming to do the same thing. You see how easily it can be to be found out when you do not have clear policies. This is the reason personally I don’t want DP to join the coalition, because I personally believe there are people out there, who joined FDC for lack of alternative, but in Mao leading DP, they may join. I do not think Ugandans in my view should be denied a choice. Who ever wins UPC, I would also suggest they pull out, let all these parties go out there and solicit for support.

Oba Stop intimidating women and mwami musisi. He is raising a very good point. What authority has Njoki got to speak for MAO dp. IS he its official spokes person? Does he know Gulu better than Ssebagala, the mayor of Kampala?

On Fri, Mar 12, 2010 at 9:11 AM, Oba PaAb wrote:

Very funny!!

Musisi, what is the matter with you? Njoki is emphasising his point on his own accord; not because he is an authority, and not even forcing anyone to buy what he says!

Please, you are reducing yourself way too much, the way I look at it! Remember, it wasn’t long ago when you claimed Lance Cpl Patrick Otto Mutengesa obtained a “Permanently Head Damaged” degree?

Watch before you become another casualty of the same degree!

Just a piece of advise.

Oba

Mw. Njoki,

You write: “And I emphasize again, Ssebagala is wrong in his assessment of Mao’s strength in Northern Uganda and indeed the rest of Uganda. But anyway what had we expected from Ssebagala!!”

Who are you to emphasize that? What authority do you have to do so? Whose assessement is right? You must understand that all opinions are valid and it should be up to the reader to make up their mind, rather than you telling them, unless you are an authority of some kind. The last time I checked, you weren’t, I am afraid.

Musisi,

It is obvious that you are a schizophrenic! I feel sorry for you. No doubt about that. For, for someone with a Ph.D that appears have been collected from the side of the road really, to not understand simple arguments, borders on idiocy like never before seen. You are an inferior Muganda if at all you are Muganda, who gives Baganda a bad name. Baganda have voted for DP leadership, and your only recourse is going to be to live with it. If you think you were more Ugandan than Mao, you would have presented your sorry self that is languishing in Europe for no apparent reasons, to lead DP and we would have seen how many Baganda would have voted for you.

Buganda region is peaceful; it has been from since 1986, why are you languishing in Europe? Why did it have to take going to Europe for you to have some Education that you cannot even use properly? If you think that my coming abroad is the best thing that has happened to me from slice bread, then I really worry about you. Why did you leave the comfort and wealth in Kampala? Could it be that you are merely an economic opportunist? When you left the country, what was your reasons for leaving the country?

Man, they say before you throw stone, make sure you do not live in glass house! But for you, since you are suffering from some mental problems, probably a maniac, you just throw stones anyhow. Think mister, always think hard. The abroad you are yapping about is not an exclusive place where only Musisi Bosco must come too, even if he is merely an economic refugee! I myself have every right to come abroad and there is not a damn thing you can do about it. Mao has won DP presidency. No one voted him into that post but Baganda! As far as you are concern, with your failures and inferiority complexes, I do not thing any Muganda that matters, or any Ugandan gives a hoot about. You have the option to go and remove Mao from the party’s presidency by force if you want. However, should you choose to do so, I will caution you to be careful; because xenophobia informed by inferiority complex has no place anywhere in the world. That would be a caution I would indeed quickly throw your way.

Now as far as me being a Sudanic is concerned, I really don’t see anything wrong with that. Do you see anything wrong with being a Sudanic? Or you have some illusion that the artificial borders created by Europe make you, Musisi, so different from a Sudanic? Is there anything that makes you Musisi, more important than a Sudanic? If so can you tell us what it is? Is it the Permanently Head Damaged degree?

Omukulu Musis, let me tell you something. Whether I am a Sudanic or not there is not much you, Musisi, can do about it. Do you get that? There is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Period. So, get it from me that Egwea’s questions are infantile and of no value to me. In fact, it can’t even be of any value to Mao. Understand? And you know why? Because you and Egwea do not determine who can be a Ugandan and who cannot. In fact, your arses can be run out of the country and there would be thousands other Baganda and Langi in the country and life goes on. But these are realistic politics that you won’t understand. That is why you simply talk FAAAA. So, you and Egwea have the option: Answer the damn questions so we know about the “RUMOURS”, or simply nurse you wounds. Because there isn’t much you can do really. Ugandans are gearing up for a better peaceful country. Continue with your xenophobia and you will have yourselves to blame.

Baganda have voted. If you are so inferior and would like to live in Uganda by yourselves, with your group of Baganda, then the best you can do is look for another place outside Uganda! Uganda is multi-tribal, and I think those Baganda who voted for Mao have sent the message pretty loud and clear to your lot. But you are free to gather in April and vote for your DP candidate, who will only campaign in Buganda, but expect to become the president of Uganda! If that is not idiocy what is?

But here is my advice for you, someone with unchallenged rights to live abroad: Take your sorry behind to Uganda in April. Or, you won’t even be of any concern to any right thinking Ugandan.

You can take that advice to the Bank, and simply drop it by the road side. Your choice Musis Bosco.

Oba PaAb,

Your fears and insecurity may well be well-founded when Mw. Egwea asks about Ugandaness. No wonder any and all effort to pump some sense into that sudanic mug of yours that passes for a head are repelled by the potent stuff you imbibe on day in day out. You are up to no good in your constant stupor – might well be blamed on infacy feeding. Luckily you made out to abroad, and for you that is the best that has happened to your lot since sliced bread. But do not interpret that to be the universal truth – you must overcome that tribal bigotry because in the grand scheme of things you remain a semi-baked sudanic nincopoop bereft of any tangible benefit – just occupying space for nothing, albeit beyond your quintessential primitivity. The way you invariably put everything, even water, in plural is rather indicative of your world. If Egwea’s questions come across to you as rubbing salt in a wound, so be it. It can’t be helped, if you ask me. Just down your potent stuff to drown you sorrows till another day in case you manage to rise out of your signature stupor, when you might want to give Mw. Egwea’s questions another go!

If all those John Hughes movies are to be believed, the senior prom is a highlight of American teenage life. But in a real-life scenario that would have made for a great John Hughes plot, a cowardly school in Mississippi has cancelled its senior prom this year after a female student wanted to bring her girlfriend as her date.

Constance McMillen, an 18-year-old student at Itawamba Agricultural High School in Fulton, Mississippi, asked to be able to take her date. The school’s board objected – and to McMillen wanting to wear a tuxedo – so the American Civil Liberties Union got involved, pointing out the discrimination issue.

How did the school react? By blaming “distractions to the educational process caused by recent events” and cancelling the prom for everyone – which left the rest of the students unhappy. The local Clarion-Ledger newspaper, under the sparkling headline “Mississippi lesbian alleges retaliation after prom date debate”, reported McMillen’s reaction to the news that the prom had been scrapped:

“That’s really messed up because the message they are sending is that if they have to let gay people go to prom that they are not going to have one. A bunch of kids at school are really going to hate me for this, so in a way it’s really retaliation.”

The ACLU this afternoon filed a lawsuit against the school district:

She was told, according to the lawsuit, that the pair would have to arrive separately and could be thrown out “if any of the other students complained about their presence there together.” McMillen was also told she could not wear a tuxedo, according to the suit, because boys are to attend in tuxedos and girls in dresses.

Announcing the cancellation, the school board said: “It is our hope that private citizens will organize an event for the juniors and seniors.” A private party would circumvent the legal issues.

The gay-prom-goer issue has arisen in many states in recent years. In conservative Utah, gay students in Salt Lake City can attend a separate prom, sponsored by the Utah Pride Centre. In more liberal California – despite Prop 8 – students at Fairfax Senior High School in Los Angeles elected gay student Sergio Garcia as prom queen in 2009.

A Facebook group, Let Constance Take Her Girlfriend to Prom!, has been started and already has 11,000 fans.
